11795 - Student Transportation Services

The purpose of this request to receive proposals from parties capable, equipped, and experienced with the provision of student transportation services that the District may enter negotiations to provide those services.  

The District serves the entire Sunshine Coast from Langdale to Earl’s Cove and therefor requires a contractor to provide bus and similar transportation services to its K to 12 student population. The District presently contracts with a company that provides busses, ancillary equipment, and drivers to provide the services. The District is considering ways and means to transition the fleet of busses contracted from petroleum fuels to electric power and intends to work with the selected contractor to initiate this transition. The District has a requirement for the provision of busses equipped with a wheelchair lift and suitable space for transport of students in wheelchairs.
